Armed with Bachelor of Art (Interior Design) from Universitas Tarumanegara and Master in Lighting Design & Management from Wismar University, Germany, Fency started her career in 2003 with DaVinci Asia, a luxury home furnishings and design company where she has furnished homes for some of Forbes’ richest people in Indonesia. In 2007, she joined a boutique Australian design firm Barbe Interiors specializing in luxury residential projects.
Fency’s experience in luxury homes has also brought her to non residential projects, such as Karma Kandara, a five-star villa resort in Uluwatu Bali and Mercedes Benz showroom in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Fency moved to Singapore in 2012 and joined Wimberly Interiors, the hospitality interior design arm of WATG, Inc., a US-based architectural firm, which iconic works include the Ayana Resort in Bali. Her project experience during this time included Oei Tiong Ham Park Show Flat (Singapore), Suning Shanghai Bei Su Zhou (Shanghai, China), Libo Four-Star Hotel (Guizhou, China), Peacehaven Resort (Sri Lanka) and Crimson Boracay Resort (The Philippines).
In 2015, she joined Aedas Interiors Ltd to work on several hotel projects in Indonesia and Singapore, specializing in advising on the furniture, fixtures and equipment. The projects include hotels as such Hotel G, Marina Bay Sands, Raffles Hotel, Radisson and Four Points by Sheraton and Ambassador Transit Lounge at Changi Terminal 2.
At Marina Bay Sands, she worked with a team to advise on the furniture selection and was involved in the BOQ calculations. With Hotel G, she worked on the value engineering of the renovation within the stipulated original design intent. With Raffles Hotel, she also worked on the furniture selection and quality control.
She is currently the Director and Design Principal of Global Artwork & Design Pte Ltd which she founded to provide design consultancy services for her personal clients in Singapore and Indonesia. She has recently completed her Master Degree in Architectural Lighting Design and Management at Wismar University in Germany, tutored by experienced professors who worked for BMW & Mercedes Benz in Munich. She is a member of European Lighting Expert Association.
Fency defines luxury as an experience worth living and remembering for a lifetime. She strongly believes in designing luxury based on four guiding principles: Elegance, Warmth and Daily Comfort with an emphasis on Functional Efficiency. Every project of luxury is a 2 challenge to imprint an unforgettable journey for the client, from the first footstep in to the last footstep out.
